Even tough some Spanish influence is still present in the Philippines, I understand that most of it has been erased, and is not visible in the daily life.
But Catholicism is still overwhelmingly the most popular religion.
Why has Catholicism become such a big part of society in the Philippines, but not other Spanish traditions?

Traveler, Bud Brown is traveling the Philippine islands and interacting with the local people. In this video he tastes common fruits of the Philippines but very new to him.
For a month. Mentawai is also near Sumatra which appears to have fantastic waves, too.
Hi, I am going to travel Philippines with my gf. I want to stay a few weeks in each place then move on.
What places would you recommend visiting?
How long do you reckon we could stay there with 1,000,000 pesos?
I've heard so much about how successful Chinese are in the Philippines. That they came from China, started from scratch, and became successful business owners.
There are lots of OFW's who go back to the Philippines to start a business but most of the time their businesses usually fail. Also most Balikbayans and foreigners would be reluctant to start a business because most see it as a bad place to make an investment.
So what makes Chinese people in the Philippines succeed in business where most OFW's, Balikbayans, and Foreign investors either do not succeed or are reluctant to invest?
When did the Philippines become a democracy? Also if you have any other information about the Philippines and their democracy.
If you can answer the following questions it will be much appreciated
1. What level of freedom do the people of The Philippines enjoy? (like what kind of rights do they have?
2. What level do the people play in a role in choosing their government?
3. Any major wars? Or were there any countries that took over The Philippines?
Thanks in Advance!
I need a public record or proof of someone that is still living here in the Philippines, how and where can I go to find out and have documented proof.
The reason being, is that i am getting divorced and the courts needs such documented proof.
It would be a big help to me because i am getting very depressed over this issue, because the courts might not grant me the divorce w/o such documented findings.
Thank you for your help.
